01 / THE ROLE
In this lab.
A containerised UniFi controller is included in the application estate. It provides a central management interface for supported network devices. The public notebook describes this responsibility without exposing device identities, wireless settings, credentials or the physical network layout.

03 / How it works
How it works.
The controller’s management plane is distinct from the data traffic carried by network devices. A reachable controller interface does not establish that devices are adopted, connected or correctly configured. Those are application-level questions requiring the controller’s authenticated view.
04 / Persistent data & recovery
Persistent data & recovery.
The controller’s persistent application state and supported configuration backups are the recovery assets. Rebuilding only its container does not recreate device-management history or administrative state. Backups and identifiers remain in private operational storage.
05 / How to check it
How to check it.
Validate interface availability separately from device connectivity and configuration acceptance. In this content edition, the authenticated controller and physical device inventory are not presented as independently audited.
06 / Decisions & limits
Decisions & limits.
Central management makes changes easier to organise, but also concentrates configuration knowledge. Public diagrams therefore show the controller’s role rather than an actionable map of managed equipment.
